AFI KLM E&M signs one of its most important component contracts

11/17/2014 | AFI KLM E&M

The contract signed between the two groups oversees the design and production of repair and maintenance services, with dedicated access to the AFI KLM E&M spare parts pool. The 777s will be serviced as part of the CSP 777 programme jointly operated by Boeing and AFI KLM E&M. The agreement concerns the LATAM Airlines Group's Boeing fleet, i.e. a total of 90 aircraft.

AFI KLM E&M concluded this contract thanks to the strength of its industrial and logistics network. The Group has developed specific areas of expertise for the components in each of the Boeing product lines, which are serviced within dedicated facilities and workshops, by qualified and specialized staff. As a result, the component support of the 767, 777 and 787s will be carried out with the resources of the Miami repair centres (services provided by AMG, an American subsidiary of AFI KLM E&M) in Paris and Amsterdam.

AFI KLM E&M and LATAM Airlines Group have been cooperating for several years in the area of aeronautical maintenance, notably concerning Boeing 767 and 777 engines and components. The signature of this new contract is partly the result of the trust and satisfaction expressed by the South-American air transport giant in AFI KLM E&M.
