Sekolah Tinggi Penerbangan Indonesia flight school orders 25 Cessna Skyhawk aircraft

Cessna Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, today announced at the Singapore Airshow, it has secured an order for 25 Cessna Skyhawk 172 aircraft from the Sekolah Tinggi Penerbangan Indonesia (STPI) flight school. Initial deliveries are expected to begin later this year and continue through 2017.

“We are excited to support the STPI flight school, the largest flight training program in Indonesia, with the world’s leading flight training platform, the Cessna Skyhawk,” said Chris Bogaars, regional vice president of Sales, Asia-Pacific. “We look forward to a continued relationship with STPI flight school as the training needs continue to grow in this region.”

STPI flight school is based in the Tangerang District in Banten Province and provides flight training and academic degrees in aviation engineering. This new fleet of Skyhawk aircraft will be used to train 300 students in eight training locations under the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation.
