In order to observe the total solar eclipse on March 20, 2015 in optimal conditions, the astronomer and lecturer Xavier Jubier coordinated the flight of three Falcon 7Xs above the Atlantic Ocean, near the Faroe Islands, on the same trajectory as the eclipse.

With the first Falcon taking off from Geneva and the other two from Le Bourget airport, the three aircraft then followed the trajectory of the eclipse to observe the perfect alignment of the Moon between the Earth and the Sun.

This exceptional flight, at over 45,000 feet, was organized by the business aviation operator Amjet Executive SA, with the assistance of Dassault Falcon Service, which provides a wide range of services to users of Falcon businessjets.
